What information can I collect using fields while building a registration form?

The above options can be added to a registration form on the right-hand side of the form editor.

Once you click on an option it appears in the center of the page in the section and in the order that it will appear on the form. Click on this to edit the field.

Text Field

This allows you to collect free text information such as an attendee name or a company name. You can set this to be required information which means that the form can not be submitted without this information.

'Track Visibility' means that this field will appear on the registration form of all tracks selected.

'Depends upon' means that this field will only appear if the attendee has specifically answered another question that has dropdown choices.

Check Box

This can be used for simple yes/no questions such as whether an attendee requires lunch or special assistance.

You can collect additional information relating to these options by adding additional fields and using 'Depends On' and you can choose which track sees this field using 'Track Visibility'.


Dropdown

This field allows you to collect multiple-choice data. Once you have named the field you need to click on 'Edit Choices' to add and edit options.

You can assign prices to the choices for add-ons.

Radio

This creates a group of 'radio buttons' that allow the admin to display all the options and allow a single selection. For example, how attendees will travel to the event. Firstly, name the field then select 'Edit Choices' where you can assign labels and monetary values (if required).

Number

This allows you to collect numerical data such as number of guests.

You can choose which track sees this field using 'Track Visibility'.


Date Input

This field will display a calendar for attendees to select a date.

Text Area

This allows the attendee to add multi-line text such as an address.

You can choose which track sees this field using 'Track Visibility'.


Email

This field collects additional email addresses other than the one stored for registration.

You can choose which track sees this field using 'Track Visibility'.


Phone Number

This field collects the phone number of the attendee. They must input a valid phone number.

You can choose which track sees this field using 'Track Visibility'.


Document Upload

This field allows the attendee to upload a document such as a copy of their ID. It is limited to images, web documents, and PDFs.

Lead Scanner

Adding a lead scanner allows attendees to select the option of a lead scanner that scans the badges of other attendees to capture information. This option will cost extra.
