Can I add files and images to an event website?

Yes - when you enter the website editor and select to create or edit a section, you will also find options to add background images, logos and inline images (depending on the type of section selected) that will be displayed on the chosen section.

You can also add downloadable content when adding a 'Standard' section, which will display a button on your event site that an attendee can download with a single click.
