Integrations: Slack
Note: Slack integrations must be enabled on our backend to be used in your events. Please contact support if you wish this feature to be enabled.
In getregistered®, we provide a Slack integration that allows you to push event activity notifications (registration created/updated/cancelled, invitation created/updated) to Slack channels via Incoming Webhooks.
To begin, enter your 'Integrations' area and select the 'Slack' tile:
You will then see the following page - click on 'Add Slack Integration' to proceed.
Once you have selected 'Add Slack Integration', you will see the following form:
You will need to provide the following details:
- Slack Webhook URL - this is required for your Slack workspace to receive push notifications for your events. This article provided by Slack gives you all the information you need to create your webhook for this integration.
- Channel Name - this is the channel in your Slack channel that will receive the push notifications. The channel name must be preceded by a # (eg #my-slack-channel).
- Notification triggers - these are the notification types you can select to trigger push notifications in your Slack workspace, you can select as many or as few as you desire.
When you are ready to proceed, select the 'Save Slack Integration' button at the bottom of the page, and you should see something similar to the screenshot below:
Congratulations - you Slack integration is now setup, and you should now receive notifications from your event in your Slack workspace.
Slack notifications will be presented in your workspace as shown below:
