What are Event Requests?
Note: To use the 'Event Requests' feature, it must be enabled for your organization first. Please contact support if you are interested in activating the feature for your organization.
What exactly is the Event Requests feature?
'Event Requests' is a feature that allows specific user roles to request the creation of an event, based on a form built by administrators in your organization. The Event Request form allows the requesting user to submit for an event including dates, projected attendance, venue selection, various facilities, invitees and more.
Once an Event Request is submitted for approval, administrators can review the request and either approve, decline or request amendments. Event Requests that are approved by an administrator can then be converted into an event, either from an event template or as a standard non-customized event.
How do Event Requests work?
When a user with the ability to create an Event Request enters their Organization Dashboard, they will see the 'Event Requests' tab. Selecting this will tab provide the user access to any Event Requests they have created previously, as well as the ability to create a new Event Request:

When they choose to create a new Event Request, they will need to populate the Event Request form for your organization:

Once all required sections/fields are completed, the requester is taken to the 'Review' page (that allows them to review all of the data entered for the request) and has the option to 'Submit a Request' for the event request to be reviewed:

Once submitted for review, all administrators are notified of the request and can then review the event request submitted:

If the event request is approved by an administrator, they are given the option to convert the request to a real event - this can be either a regular event, or an event created from a previously created template:

Once the administrator selects 'Create Event', the event will be created in 'Draft' status in your organization:

Who can make Event Requests, as well as review and accept them?
All administrators have the ability to create Event Requests, as well as the ability to review and convert them.
The only other user role that can create and manage Event Requests is the 'Event Requestor' role. This role allows a user to create, edit and submit their own Event Requests, which can be managed from the 'Event Requests' area. Any 'Event Requestor' role user that has an Event Request successfully accepted and converted is added to the new event as an 'Event Owner' user role, giving them basic access to the event to make further requests and changes where needed.
